Hathipaon is surrounded by forests and has a peace about it. That absolutely no new construction is allowed here, ensures that we can continue to see the pines and deodars and wake up to the sound of chirping birds. The surrounding forests are fiercely protected by The Forest Department and as a result, we have largely virgin forests with old trees.
There are many trails straight walks and treks into the woods. Depending upon your inclination, you can go for the easy or tough outings. The meadows are green throughout the year and are a favorite for camping.
If you are a nature lover, a birder, a trekker ,an artist or simply a tourist who is happy reading a book and chilling, this is the place for you.
Our food is prepared fresh and as per your orders only. Simple, tasty and wholesome food is a guarantee.
We are famous for our warm and personalised services by our very own Pahadi boys, Somender and Gudvir Singh.

HOW TO GET TO Seegreen Lodges – Guesthouse Mussoorie
We are located in a small mountain hamlet – Hathipaon. We are about 35 kms from Mussoorie and approx 4 from Mussorie mall – library side. Do bear in mind that Mussorie has two meeting points – one is picture palace and the other is library chawk. We are approachable from the library chawk side by private taxis that typically charge 300 to 400 Rs depending upon tourist rush of course!
You have to look for Seegreen cafe and you can ask just about any local for direction to Hathipaon / George Everest point. The road winds through school and small settlements till you reach Beverly school and thereafter the you are surrounded by forest and the car honks are replaced by chirping of birds. The air suddenly feels cooler and ride smoother……..Now you know you are on the right path!
There are two ways to reach us to Guesthouse Mussoorie
On the main highway from Mussoorie to Mussoorie
As you cross BHATTA village, please look for a diversion on your left for HATHIPAON
Once you take this left, we are on the HATHIPAON junction – that is approx 9 to 10 kms from the diversion. The road is not in great condition these days on account of repairs but is motorable though , in addition to being very beautiful due to the lovely tree cover throughout.
Here you will pass ahead of the Nag Devta Mandir, keep going till you reach Hathipaon. It is a small place with only about 5 resident families and is at the junction to go towards the George Everest Point.
you could drive upto Library chowk at the end of the Mall road, Guesthouse Mussoorie and then take extreme left towards The convent of Jeasus and Mary (known locally as weverlly School) and proceed to HATHIPAON. You could ask just about anyone for HATHIPAON and the locals would guide you.
The road is in excellent condition and fully motorable unto our place. Look out for the diversion to the George Everest point and ask the locals as its a very small place.
